One of the occasional problems with climbing, and especially roped climbing, is that there are times when it is difficult to find a regular climbing partner. Honest! It is not that we are all Nobby No Mates, more often we have not been able to persuade our fiends to get into climbing, or they are on holiday, or have sprained something, or the cat has flu.

Mind you, Craggy Island is known nationally as 'the friendly wall. We find there is always a great vibe at our climbing walls and everybody is usually happy for someone to tag along on a session. Our advice is to watch them climb a few routes before aproaching someone to make sure you are happy with their standard of climbing, and then there is nothing better than to say ''is it OK to join you to climb?'
