3 Star – what is it?
We’ve kept you waiting long enough so here it is.
3 Star is an upgraded membership scheme at Craggy Island that offers unlimited access to both our centres in return for a monthly direct debit payment. It also comes with added benefits, so it’s a lot more than a payment scheme, it is an upgraded membership package.
We will launch 3 Star on 20th Feb from which point you will be able to sign up to the scheme with the first payment scheduled 1st April which will mark the start date of 3 Star with a three month minimum commitment.
The cost of 3 Star will be £42.00 per month, however if you sign up before the 1st April 2010 you will benefit from the promotional special offer of £39.00 per month for the first 12 months. A saving of £36.00.
We have also created a family rate of £85 (£90 after April 1st). This will allow two parents and all their children under 17 to climb.
3 Star will have a new card, you will be able to use this card to gain fast track entry to either Craggy Island centres, get discounts on Craggy instructed courses and discounted rates on our 3 Star partner companies. These include Epic Adventures (Gaz Parry), Rock and Sun, Mountain goat adventures, Burgundy Villas and Climb Magazine. This list will grow once 3 Star becomes established and to keep track of this list and any special offers that arise, 3 Star will have its own area within the Craggy website.
3 Star is a massive shift in the way members of Craggy Island will be able to use the centre. We hope you will embrace this new scheme and benefit from your new 3 Star status. Structure your training to suit you, enjoy reduced rates on coaching sessions with Mark Croxall and guest climbers such as Gaz Parry and Lucy Creamer, or come in for an hour after work to focus on one climb or do a bit of bouldering without the pressure to get every drop of value from an occasional visit.
Indeed it is “probably” guaranteed to improve your climbing.
So on saturday the 20th Feb we will have ready the terms and conditions, the DD form and the scheme benefits listed within one A5 handout document. You will be welcome to either fill this in on the spot if you are dead keen or take it away to consider if you’re not sure. You have until tuesday 23rd March to return your completed form to reception to start your 3 star membership on the 1st April (but as early as possible before that would be appreciated so we have time to input the information). After then your start date will go back to 1st May.
Please make sure all forms are filled in accurately and clearly so as to avoid any delays with processing the application. The email is very important as this is our preferred way to contact you should there be any changes or special offers with 3 Star.
Your new card will not be issued immediately, but should be available on your next visit.
3 Star is only available to current members of Craggy Island and Craggy2, once an active 3 Star member your annual membership renewal is waived.
So come on – get 3 Star!
