Craggy2 – Rock Room Re-Set this week!

August 16th, 2010 by Danie | No Comments | Filed in Craggy Island News, Route Setting, Sutton News

Hi All!

Yes, another fab new set of problems will be going up in the Rock Room this week!  Who knows where Mark will take his inspiration from this time…  Anything could happen!

As it’s the Summer Holidays the room will be set in two halves, meaning that the other half of the Rock Room will remain open when it is not being set - giving you as much climbing space as possible whilst the setting is going on.  The whole of the Comp Room will remain open throughout and the kids room will also be available (although may be busy during the days with Holiday Sessions – call reception on 0844 880 8866 if you’re interesting in booking one of these!).

Happy climbing!

Help for Heroes – Saturday 25th September 2010

As you may or may not have heard, Craggy Island will be hosting a 12 hour sponsored climb to raise funds for Help for Heroes on Saturday 25th September 2010.

Craggy Island have chosen to raise money for Help for Heroes to support those returning from duty overseas.  A number of military clubs representing all services use the centre on a regular basis – some just for fun but others as rehabilitation after suffering injuries or losses whilst serving.  It is for these men and women that we are holding the event in honour of and to support them in their journey.

For more information about Help for Heroes and the work that they do, please visit their website:  www.helpforheroes.org.uk

So, hopefully you’re now thinking “Hmmm…  This sounds pretty fun – how can I get involved?”

Well, it’s actually really simple!  All you need to do is download a Registration Form or pick one up in the centre.  There’s a £10 registration fee which includes your entry on the day, light refreshments and your Help for Heroes wrist band – which we expect you to wear with pride on the day!

When you’ve completed your registration form and handed it in to reception you will given an Event Information Pack which will have lots more information about the day, including exactly what’s going on and when!  You can also download the Event Information sheet if you’re too excited to wait.

We’ll keep you updated in the run-up to this great event but if, in the meantime, you have any questions or would like further information, please speak to Ben Read on 0844 880 8866 or email him at Ben@craggy-island.com

Happy climbing!
