Craggy2 Spring Boulder League Round 1

After much debate over wether this should really be the Winter rounds of the Craggy2 Boulder League we’ve decided to post the results and probably not worry too much about whether it’s Winter or Spring!

So the first round results out of the four Winter/Spring rounds are:

Save 50% on our Holiday Fun Sessions:

A 3 hour long climbing, abseiling, fun and games session suitable for children aged 8 to 13 years. 

Our instructors will be there at all times to make sure your kids are both safe and having fun!  There will be two 10 minute breaks during the session to give them a chance to rehydrate and re-fuel – drinks will be provided in our café and are included in the cost of the course.  Snacks can be purchased from the cafe or vending machines, however, if your child has any particular dietary requirements, please send them with something to eat or drink (there is a fridge available in needed).

Ratio: 1:6

Length of Session: 3 hours

Price: £58.00 £29.00! per person (includes all safety equipment. Rock Shoes can be hired for an extra £3.75 but are not essential)  

      

What else is happening for kids this Half Term?:

         

Taster Sessions:

Tasters are a really fun “Have-a-Go” session suitable for first time climbers aged between 8 and 16 years.  They are a great way of getting an introduction to the exciting sport of indoor climbing and will challenge even the most adventurous youngsters!

Ratio: 1:6

Length of Session: 1 and a half hours

Price: £22.50 per person (includes all safety equipment. Rock Shoes can be hired for an extra £3.75 but are not essential)    

Active Climb:

If you have a child aged between 5 and 7 years old then an Active Climb will give them the chance to have a go at climbing here at Craggy. This session runs at a lower ratio to ensure that each child gets as much support and encouragement as possible during their climbs. Parents and older siblings can even join in too.

Ratio: 1:4

Length of Session: 1 hour

Price: £18 per person (includes all safety equipment. Rock Shoes can be hired for an extra £3.75 but are not essential)

            

Private Tuition:

If you’re looking for something more specific; perhaps you want to learn to climb too, give the kids a tougher challenge or simply want your instructor’s undivided attention then a Private session is the thing for you!

You can book each session for up to 4 people and it will be completely tailored to your requirements.

Ratio: 1:up to 4

Price: 1 person – £40 per hour, 2 people – £50 per hour, 3 people – £60 per hour and 4 people – £70 per hour (includes all safety equipment. Rock Shoes can be hired for an extra £3.75 but are not essential)

 

All of our sessions run daily but please book early to avoid disappointment!

Fancy Dress Halloween Climbing!

Here at Guildford we are planning a night of frights on Monday 31st October! From 7pm – 10pm we will be in full Halloween mode with a variety of spooky tricks up our sleeves so come on down!

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes of the night and the cafe will be serving up a host of Halloween treats!

Job Vacancy – Guildford Receptionist

Looking for a Part Time job?

We might just have the job for you!

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be one of the ‘Craggy Crew’ at Guildford, come and talk to us.

We are looking for a Part-Time receptionist to work in our busy reception. Hours to include evenings and weekends.

Your duties will be to work with the other Craggy Crew, liaise with customers in person and on the phone with regard to the services we offer. Use our automated booking system and take payment by card and cash, ensuring accuracy at all times, and other general administrative tasks.

The job will suit bright and lively people who want to work in a healthy, uplifting, buzzing and social environment. Being a climber is not essential but an interest in an active lifestyle would be an advantage.

Hours: 24 hours a week (Part Time)

Guildford Route Setting this week!

Mark is in all this week setting various areas around the centre with the usual array of fun and exciting routes for you to enjoy. Mikee will then be joining in the fun by setting routes 39 – 41, the slabs opposite the shutter door. The schedule is as follows:

Monday: 42 – 44

Tuesday: 44 – 48

Wednesday: 49 – 52

Thursday: 53 – 57 and 39 – 41 set by Mikee

Friday: 1 – 4

All of these areas will be closed during the day for setting but we will aim to have them back open by about 6.30pm each night!
