All day the seriously minded craggy crew have been preparing for H4H day tomorrow. Here they are, hard at work, testing the challenges that await you!
We are open as normal so if you just want to climb that’s fine, but why not have a go at the challenges anyway. Here are some snaps to help whet your appetite.

Only a few days to go now until the Help for Heroes day! It’s not too late to register and forms can be downloaded and brought in or completed at our Guildford Centre.
Here's a littler teaser of just one of the "challenges" that will be taking place on Saturday...!
Those going for the climbathon need to get here as early as possible to get their climbs in, we will be here to open the doors at 7:30 am so that you can get a prompt 8 o’clock start for climbing!
However, if you are not involved with that please do come down and support the event, by just turning up to climb or to join in with the other fun activities we have planned.
If you are not a climber but have heard about the event on the radio and are curious to see what’s going on, please come and join us, we will have staff on hand to give you a go at climbing for a suitable donation (of course), or just watch the fun unfolding from our cafe.

Its only 1 month to go till our Help for Heroes day. Remember you need to be gathering sponsorship money before the day so pick up your registration pack next time you are at Guildford. There will be lots of fun activities going on throughout and several prizes up for grabs.
Also dont forget about the Craggy Beast Award which will be running the whole 12 hours of the event, which I’m sure will produce some very knackered climbers at the end of it!

As you may or may not have heard, Craggy Island will be hosting a 12 hour sponsored climb to raise funds for Help for Heroes on Saturday 25th September 2010.
Craggy Island have chosen to raise money for Help for Heroes to support those returning from duty overseas. A number of military clubs representing all services use the centre on a regular basis – some just for fun but others as rehabilitation after suffering injuries or losses whilst serving. It is for these men and women that we are holding the event in honour of and to support them in their journey.

So, hopefully you’re now thinking “Hmmm… This sounds pretty fun – how can I get involved?”
Well, it’s actually really simple! All you need to do is download a Registration Form or pick one up in the centre. There’s a £10 registration fee which includes your entry on the day, light refreshments and your Help for Heroes wrist band – which we expect you to wear with pride on the day!
When you’ve completed your registration form and handed it in to reception you will given an Event Information Pack which will have lots more information about the day, including exactly what’s going on and when! You can also download the Event Information sheet if you’re too excited to wait.
