That’s an attention grabbing title if ever I saw one…

Craggy2 is hosting Round 3 of the London University Bouldering Event on Saturday 28th of January 2012.

We will be closed for public climbing between the hours 0f 10:00 – 15:15 and will look to open to the public asap after that. If you fancy coming down to spectate everyone is welcome to cheer on the competitors.

Craggy2 is proud to be hosting round 3 of the London University Bouldering Event (that’s LUBE to anyone in the know!  ;o) on Saturday 29th January 2011.

We will therefore be CLOSED for normal climbing until 17:00 when you are welcome to come along and try out all the fab new problems we’ll be setting in both the Comp Room and the Rock Room.  As usual, the problems are sure to have some quirky twists and we’ll be making the most of the 400 brand new holds that we’ve ordered in specially!

It is also worth noting that climbing may be slightly limited during the day and evening of Friday 28th January whilst we get everything ready.  We will keep this to an absolute minimum though!

Entrance for any members wanting to climb between 17:00 and 19:00 on Saturday 29th will be £5.

Here’s something to look forward to in 2011!

As of January 1st 2011, Craggy2 will now be open earlier, and for longer during the week! So please take note that our new opening times will be:

10:00 – 22:00  Mon – Fri

10:00 - 19:00  Weekends

Hi all,

A quick update for you to let you know of some dates for your diaries:

Here at Craggy2 we will be route setting the Rock Room on the 4th, 5th and 7th of October. Mark Croxall and Ben Read will be setting the usual mix of beautifully flowing delicate climbs to utter beasts to test your bouldering skills. As ever we’ll aim to get the room re-opened by 18:30′ish every day.

That means two further dates for you:

The evening of Thursday October 7th will see us hosting Round 2 of our Craggy2 Bouldering League. For full details please check out previous news posts and the Craggy Island Facebook fan site (it’s in the events tab!). The really important things are the Kids category runs from 18:00 – 20:00 with the Adults categories running from 18:30 – 21:30.. see you there!

On Wednesday  October 6th we are very pleased to be hosting a major club competition which unfortunately means the whole centre will be closed to public climbing until 16:00, after which normal service will resume. Just think of all those new competition routes to have a crack at!

And finally we are also pleased to be hosting a smaller club competition on Saturday 2nd of October which will mean the Competition Room will be closed for public climbing from 14:00 – 18:00 after which normal public climbing will resume. The rest of the centre will remain open for public climbing for the whole day.

Hi,

Just a quick post with the next route setting dates here at Craggy2 for you to burn into your memory.

13th – 16th September Competition Room

4th – 7th October Rock Room

Please note that we are hosting two competitions in October:

The first is a smaller comp in the Competition Room on Saturday 2nd of October from 14:00 – 18:00, during which time the remainder of the centre will be open for public climbing. After 18:00 the room will re-open for climbing as usual.

The second is a big competition at the centre on Wednesday 6th of October and we will be closed to public climbing on the day until 16:00, after which the whole centre will be open for climbing as usual.
