General Information about Craggy Island Indoor Climbing Centre Guildford

Having fun and getting Social!

Craggy Island is known as the friendly wall. Why? Well, mostly because we always intended to have a wall with an open environment, where people could climb together in a welcoming space, and also to have friendly and motivated staff to help our customers get the best out of their climbing experience. Climbing is FUN!

Guildford

Over the years various social groups have evolved - some planned, others just happening on their own - which is great, and we are determined to develop the social side of climbing.

Craggy Social Evening - Every Wednesday evening at Guildford anyone can attend the Craggy Social Evening. If you are new to climbing - perhaps you have just finished your beginners course, or are coming back into the sport after a layoff, then this is a great way to hook up with like minded local climbers. This is an informal session but one of our climbing instructors will be on hand to offer guidance and tips and literally show you the ropes if needed!

Craggy Island indoor climbingTimes are 7pm to 9pm and there is no need to book, but you will need to be a Craggy Island Member and have passed our registration assessment. The cost is £10 for the session and includes a free drink from our Cafe during the evening. Everyone is welcome from novice to expert and of course if you come on your own then you are guaranteed a belay!

The Future? - Social activities are for you, our customers. If you have a great idea for a social activity please speak to one of our Duty or Centre Managers and we will see if we can help!
